Sean Richardson - Guitar

Sean first started playing the guitar when almost 11. Was lucky enough to have Carey Lewincamp for 18 months before starting to have lessons at The Hobart College of Music, the business he now owns. By 12 Sean was playing classical gas and stairway to heaven. By 15 Sean was awarded a scholarship in classical music and continued advancing in this genre before doing a BPA in Launceston studying blues and Jazz.

Sean first taught at The Hobart College of Music at 18 and returned again in 2001 whilst also Managing at a local bar. In 2005, Sean bought the Hobart College of Music and made teaching his full time profession teaching between 45 and 60 students a week ever since.

Sean teaches all styles with very strong knowledge of alternate turnings, classical music and song writing.

His main influence are Pink Floyd, John Butler, Tool, Tommy Emmanuel, Metallica, Guns and Roses, Dir straits, Jack Johnson and Eric Clapton, to name a few.

Sean is a passionate teacher tutoring anyone from the age of 5 to 85. He can teach Ukulele and Banjo as well and has presently 15 students studying for their CPM exams (contemporary guitar exams through AMEB). Sean is patient and caring and is forever trying to help each student reach their potential whilst enjoying the positive experience of music.

Mark Bradshaw - Drums

Mark has been playing the drums for 37 years, andteaching for 24 years.

In the 80s he was playing with popular Hobart band ‘Chain Reaction’ and in the 90s he was playing with the very popular Fred Bradshaw cover band ‘Rock Steady’.

He is currently gigging with a pop band and a blues band and has also played with ‘Manhattan’.

Aleks Folvig - Guitar

Aleks is a multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar, guitar and vocalist) with his main instrument being guitar. He is well versed in many different styles and genres of music such as; blues, rock, metal, and jazz. He is the vocalist and guitarist with the alternative rock band Art School Bullies (ASB), who, in 2015 released their debut EP titled Even Duct Tape Can’t Fix This and supported bands such as I Know Leopard, The Hunted Crows, High Tails, and Verticoli. In 2014 ASB played at the Marion Bay Falls Festival. He was also the vocalist and guitarist with the Rock and Reggae band Bermuda Rhombus, who have played the Love Living Locally Festival in Kingborough and the Spring Festival at the Botanical Gardens. Aleks has also played in the orchestra for the musicals Jesus Christ Superstar, Our House and The Addams Family, and won a 2013/14 scholarship for guitar from the Department of Education and the 2015 scholarship for Male Vocals awarded by the Clarence City Council and will perform at the 2016 Clarence Jazz festival. He is in his second year of college which involves undertaking studies at The Conservatorium of Music, University of Tasmania and plans to undertake a Bachelor of Music degree at the Conservatorium next year.
